Callicutt Stables Suffers Devastating Barn Fire

The Walking Horse Report has learned that Callicutt Stables suffered a devastating barn fire yesterday. While thankfully no human lives were lost, several horses were tragically lost in the incident.
The Walking Horse Report family joins the industry in keeping John, Ann, Landon, Luke and the entire Callicutt Stables team in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. They, along with their customers, are respected and valued members of the Walking Horse community, and their many friends across the industry stand ready to support them.

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – The traditional Stick Horse class commenced at 6:40 on Saturday evening, sponsored by Sugar Creek Farms and Creekview Farms. Steve Buttleman played the Kentucky Derby theme to welcome everyone. Everyone got a blue ribbon and a Purity ice cream coupon for participating. Kingland Kids and Steve Buttleman also made sure everyone had a glow-in-the-dark necklace as well.

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – Friday night has long been Patriotic Night at The Celebration, where everyone dons their red, white and blue. It is a celebration of freedom and those who fought hard to maintain that freedom.
